Distributed Autonomous Robotic Experiments and Simulations (DARES): Program Review

Abstract:

The Distributed Autonomous Robotic Experiments and Simulation (DARES) cooperative agreement (CA) has completed its first three option years and is set to enter the final option year in October 2025. The DARES CA focused on six research areas covering the linking of proving grounds, semantic representations of environments, autonomy and perception, distributed and collaborative autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence algorithms. This report provides an overview of the programs and critical outcomes from the first three option years, followed by an initial proposal for the last year.
