We are a multi-functional team proactively dedicated to providing an exceptionally visible and accessible EEO program, anticipating our customer’s needs and exceeding our customer’s expectations. Our mission and vision are to provide leadership, advice, and assistance to the Director, Directorate Directors, managers, supervisors, employees, and other customers on all aspects of the DEVCOM ARL EEO program in accordance with law. Also, to direct and manage EEO programs for the Command by inspiring fairness and equity in employment opportunities.

The function of our office is to administer and implement ARL’s EEO program by managing the following areas:
Compliance and Program Evaluation Establishes standards and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. This includes interpreting and applying laws and regulations, developing policies, collecting data and managing accommodation and complaint Issues.
Advisory Services Advises all levels of management and employees regarding EEO-related issues. This includes: providing program overview, participating in strategic planning, presenting briefings, and researching special problems.
Complaint Program Management Processes all EEO complaints of discrimination in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. EEO complaints can be filed on one or more of the following bases: Race, National Origin, Color, Sex, Religion, Reprisal, Age, Disability, and Genetic Information. This consists of all stages of the process including the necessary correspondence and coordination.
Alternative Dispute Resolution Provides an opportunity for most issues to be resolved at the lowest level possible. This includes mediation, facilitation, and peer review panels.
Training and Education Provides proactive, on-going training and education programs regarding EEO and civilian employment issues for the Laboratory. This includes EEO for managers/employees, anti-harassment, conflict coaching, and EEO Counselor training.
Reasonable Accommodation Program Direct, monitor and implement the Reasonable Accommodation Program according to the Army guidance.
