User Documentation for a Skeletal Muscle Constitutive Model

Abstract:

This technical note provides user documentation for a constitutive model of skeletal muscle implemented as a user-material subroutine in the LS-DYNA software. Pseudocode explaining the computational workflow is supplied. History variables, material parameters, and user-specified controls are identified. Syntax for the material model block in the LS-DYNA input file is explained. A sample input file for deformation of a single hexahedral element is provided with recommended values of parameters.
